NITUFF® treatment

Description

Our NITUFF® treatment is a surface finish that complements and extends the properties of the anodized aluminium. This treatment consists in the insertion of Teflon® particles into the aluminium oxide matrix attained through hard anodizing. This way, a layer which combines high hardness and wear resistance with a high surface self-lubrication is accomplished; this will allow the useful life of the pieces to be 10 times longer.

This treatment (NITUFF®) is nowadays used in countless industrial applications with high mechanic demands, owing to the excellent balance of properties showed; besides these aforementioned, it offers high corrosion protection, dielectric properties, easy cleaning and lightness.

ANESDUR owns the exclusive rights in Spain and Portugal to perform the NITUFF® treatment.

Properties

LOW FRICTION COEFFICIENT

Friction is widely reduced with no need to apply lubricants. It provides surface self-lubrication, reducing significantly static and dynamic friction.

It far leads other commercially well-known coatings in the Taber abrasion test.

CORROSION RESISTANCE

It exceeds 336 hours of exposure to salt spray test (s/ ASTM B-117), being able to stand up to 2000 hours.

The breakdown voltage exceeds 2000 V (s/ ASTMB – 110).

Useful as mold release agent and Antistick (products don’t get stuck). It makes its cleaning easier.
