Dimensional variation
The hard anodizing layer grows 50% in depth and other 50 % over the base material; therefore it must be taken into account the dimensional growth of the pieces.
That is the reason why it is also used as a technique for resizing and recovery of the pieces. Thicknesses of 20 to 200µm are applied.
The MIL-A-8625 regulation permits a dispersion margin of +/-20% of the nominal thickness; in Anesdur we have the process perfectly under control and as a result a high layer accuracy is guaranteed.
